'He laid in a cold gangway': Teenage boy shot in head, left to die overnight on SW Side, family says

A teenage boy was shot in the head Sunday evening and left to die overnight before being found by Chicago police in North Lawndale on the city’s Southwest Side, according to a man who says he’s the victim’s cousin. Police say officers were on patrol when they found an unresponsive teenage male on the ground with a gunshot wound to the head just after 2 a.m. Monday in the 1500 block of South Kildare Avenue.
