How To Add Online Ordering To My Restaurant Website | The local restaurant and small business food industry is experiencing massive drawbacks due to the COVID-19 global pandemic. The solution is to add an online ordering system to your restaurant website.

Running a restaurant while your country is on a shutdown due to social distancing is no easy task. As restaurant owners, it is now your job to get creative and offer other opportunities for patrons to order food from your restaurant. Takeout and delivery options are still open in most cities throughout the United States.

As a restaurant owner, you need to make it ultra simple right now for a potential patron to come to your website, view your menu and order online straight from your website. This will eliminate any friction that may be caused in the process of ordering otherwise.

DON'T BE THIS:

This weekend, I attempted to support a local small business restaurant and order takeout. I went to their website and viewed their menu. After dining at this restaurant many times, I noticed they did not have an updated menu on the website. I then had to go search Yelp, Google, etc. to find the updated menu and even from that point, they did not have an easy-to-use online ordering system on their website.

LISTEN: Prior to the novel coronavirus times, an online ordering system wasn't absolutely necessary (although, I think you left opportunity on the table), but we are now in a time where people literally cannot dine at your restaurant and must order takeout or delivery from home. Make it easy on your patrons.
