What's wrong with Genshin’s standard five stars? And how could they fix them?

With the release of Mizuki in version 5.4, Hoyo finally added a new standard five star — almost two years since they added Dehya — and it got me thinking about the older ones, and how they compare to the rest of the characters.

Now that we’ll be getting a standard five star selector with every major update, these characters are genuinely free-to-play friendly — even more so than many four stars, especially the ones who improve a lot with higher constellations — yet they barely ever get mentioned in any discussions.

Are we right to ignore them? Let’s take a look.
