The spending bill to avert a partial government shutdown passed a key procedural hurdle in the Senate, setting up a final vote on Friday night.
Ten Democrats joined with Republicans to clear the 60-vote threshold needed to advance the measure.
The vote was 62-38.
The ten Democratic Senators were Senators Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV), Dick Durbin (D-IL), John Fetterman (D-PA), Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), Maggie Hassan (D-NH), Angus King (D-ME), Gary Peters (D-MI), Brian Schatz (D-HI), Chuck Schumer (D-NY), and Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH).
