Day 21 of 155: Hiking the length of Madagascar.
Notes from the journal: We face more diversions, the bandits are closing in and are directly on the route we’re wanting to take.
Over 100 Zebu (cattle) have been stolen with a village being set on fire, so the military are trying to track the bandits down.

We’re going to push on, but we’ll try sticking to the east side of the island a little longer, before we venture inland.
Terrible what’s going on, I feel bad for the locals down here, it seems the military really struggle, they end up drinking too much and when faced with bandit conflict, they lose and the bandits end up stealing their artillery….. so now the bandits literally have better weaponry than the military 👀
