Fishing a Hula Grub on Shasta Lake

Switched up my typical baits for a Hula Grub on a 5/8 ounce football head. This weight is the absolute best choice for my medium heavy casting rod and feels like it’s balanced perfectly. A Hula Grub essentially accomplishes the same thing as a skirted bass jig but is slightly cheaper to fish with and for some reason, can perform well when a regular jig bite doesn’t.
