Manufacturing location matters BUT less than the packaging material | The Sustainable Packaging Show

Location is a plus but it's often exaggerated in terms of importance. No one likes carbon emissions associated with transportation, but then again, would you want to package your product in a plastic bag manufactured down the street from where your product is manufactured? Unlikely.

Don't try to check too many boxes at once.. I consider location a way to gain "bonus points" but should not be the main factor when deciding what is sustainable.
