How Health Class Failed Us
We grew up thinking getting pregnant was instant—one mistake and it would happen. Health class drilled fear into us about unplanned pregnancy, but it left out the real education we needed about our bodies.
We weren’t taught how ovulation works.
We never learned what a normal cycle looks like.
We had no idea when to seek help for fertility struggles.
Instead, we entered adulthood believing conception was simple, only to find out that it’s not always that easy. Many of us didn’t realize that one in eight couples struggle with infertility or that conditions like PCOS, endometriosis, or irregular cycles could impact fertility.
It’s time to change the conversation. You deserve to understand your body, your fertility, and when to advocate for yourself.
