2023 MG ZS EV review: Long Range | Larger battery delivers more driving range in new electric SUV!

The 2023 MG ZS EV is already a very popular small SUV, let alone a super successful electric car. But as is always the case with zero-emissions models, it's constantly looking to improve its value offer with larger batteries that lead to longer driving ranges.

Speaking of which, enter the aptly named MG ZS EV Long Range. It's got – you guessed it – a larger battery, up a sizeable 22.3kWh, to 72.6kWh. As a result, driving ranges climbs by 120km, to 440km, according to the WLTP combined cycle test.

But this reduction in range anxiety does come at a cost, as the Long Range is naturally priced higher than any other MG ZS EV variant before it. But is it worth paying the premium? In this expert review, CarsGuide Senior Journalist Richard Berry finds out.
