The Trip, A Story of the South, Exploring Southern Hip-Hop Music, Race, Economics, and Friendship.

When Artist Dave Alsobrooks wanted to create art by gathering dirt from significant locations of southern hip-hop artists who inspire him, he wanted to document the process. Dave reached out to documentary photographer Titus Brooks Heagins. Together they embark on “The Trip” across the South. What they find is an understanding from issues of race and poverty the delicate art of friendship.
