In all honesty though, I bought a bunch myself in 2017. Had a couple hundred k on the side so I took the gamble.

I still own all of it, so you do the math.

It's just an overall dumb idea when you commit to something as versatile as crypto or even try to build a future on it.

There are much easier and lucrative ways to generate income online. Without the crazy risk.
