I don’t listen to rap. But, I listened to this start to finish. I was totally drawn in by the raw truth that I saw and heard. I’m a retired, white guy in Wisconsin and this hit a nerve deep in me. I’m in awe of the honesty, community, creativity and love that I witnessed. Thank you!

As a 39 year old that grew up in hiphop, Bay Area hyphy movement and so on, I have been turned off by modern hiphop as of late but Larussell’s music has been a breath of fresh air since discovering him a few months ago. And then to see he’s on Tiny Desk? Wow. Incredible. Great show man!

For those not from the Bay I wish you could feel how much we love this man… and we love him because he loves us… and that love is real. It’s not contrived, it’s not for show. It genuine.
