To summarize it retinoid/retinol "burns" your outer skin until it peels off so the new, younger skin cells can grow and replace your old outer skin. So it's natural to feel discomfort at early stage of the medication often called as "purging" phase. And it's gonna be worth all the pain. No pain no gain, babyπŸ₯°

He is so the most matiyaga na YouTuber sa skin

Di po lahat sa Philippines na YouTuber eh malaam sa proper Tretinoin usage

I am glad he follows Dr Sam Bunting and Dr Dray

Slow but surely ang journey sa Tretinoin lalo pag prescription strength

I am at 0.05% pa din kasi .01% is more irritating and delivers the same results

@chevalenzuela9192

@cherries44

This is exactly what I did and it lessened the purging. Hiyangan talaga ang skincare. The most effective for me was adapelene ng le rose posay. Sample size lang ginamit ko at ang ganda ng result. I am using inkeylist retinol now which is nahiyang na ko

@Angel-zc6dk

I'm going to start to use retinol, and I'm glad na dumaan muna ako sa video mo.

@jadelumabi7266

12:11 actually my dermatologist gave me a cream "benzoyl peroxide isotretinoin". Isotretinoin is basically retinoid, so if, just if your doctor prescribed something like this to you, it's actually okay Kasi they're doctors and clinically tested namn. Just don't use Benzoyl and retinoid all by yourself

@jessadangue675

Very good at research din and good thing you are still encouraging consult with PDS certified Dermatologists πŸ‘

@ahrahr539

Can you make a content about facial hairs din po? Like, how to get rid of it permanently, etc.

@vonitoflakes1230

I am planning to add retinol to my skincare routine to target my smile lines. But I find myself hesitating since I am using products that are considered as chemical exfoliants such as CosRX's 4% BHA power liquid (1x-2x a week), and Cerave's SA Renewing cleanser which has 0.5% Salycilic Acid.

My routine consists alternate days of use of the products that I mentioned. I
use my BHA Power liquid at night during mondays and fridays along with my 2nd cleanser(cetaphil foaming wash) to avoid over exfoliating.
Then during the vacant days, I use the Cetaphil gentle foaming wash in the morning & I replace the BHA power liquid with my Cerave SA Renewing Cleanser in the evening so that I can prevent my skin from having break outs and blackheads.

These products help me improved my sebum production and acne. I've noticed that I'm not getting breakouts unlike before and mas naging smoother yung feeling ng skin ko(pero mukhang bumpy parin), and It feels like parang may kulang.
Its been months since I introduced BHA/Salycilic acid into my routine but I don't think it will help me with my current problems such as improving my smile lines, tiny bumps, pimple marks and my feeling smooth bumpy skin.

I tried to research kung ano kaya ang mga pwedeng maka tulong saakin and I had my eyes on retinol. Ang dami kong nakikita na nagsasabing nakakatulong raw ito as an anti aging ingredient so I would like to try it kaso nakakatakot lang since di ko po alam kung saan and paano ako mag stastart isingit ang retinol sa routine ko if ever man na bumili ako. πŸ˜πŸ˜†

@misschelle23

This is very helpful and very timely. Lalo na I'm on my 3rd week using Retinal. So far, di pa ko nagpupurge or na-irritate skin ko. I'm using it every other 2 nights. Nung una, na-shokot ako baka magkaroon siya ng reaction with my night routine prescription na Clindamycin Solution and Azelaic Acid so nag-buffering muna ko ng moisturizer. Buti naman till now wala pa. Excited na ko makaubos ng isang tube Momma! Thank u for the lectures and the recos! 😍😍😍

@mariellicccc

First time trying Retinol .2% from Soul Apothecary per your reco and I used it tonight with moisturizer to be safe hihi hope it works πŸ€©πŸ’ž Thank you for your videos!

@theolympusandmed5485

Patience is a virtue talaga when it comes to Retinol. Pati milia ko na ilang taon ko ng kasama, nawala na. πŸ˜
