The male OBGYN i worked under chose his field because his mother and sister died of cervial cancer. And it was his goal in life to prevent the women that saw him go the way his mother did. Edit Crazy to think that everyone thinks the choice of being a male OB is inherently for their own sexual pleasure. Not everyone is looking for sexual gratification in everything. Sure its fine to be skeptical but to immediately assume that they just wanted to see "vaginas and because they're creepers"? thats the last thing most of the women who saw him were thinking. They were there for care. Also trust me seeing that many womens genitalia gets old fast as fuck especially when you realize just how many people dont understand basic hygiene and how their own bodies even work.
"I just know dudes, sometimes" 😂😂
The only gynecologist that took my symptoms of pain and bleeding seriously was a male…. I went to 6 others (all women) and they said it was normal and I was just “stressed”…. My first time ever in his office, I told him what was going on and they did an ultrasound and found a large mass in my left ovary. I had it removed and had the tissue biopsied… I was diagnosed with endometriosis. I’m more than grateful to him.
Guys thinking that being a gynecologist is glamorous....they see some really nasty and awful things, not just the good. Keep that in mind.
Jack looks like Pennywise at the end 😂
I had a female doctor and she sucked and I got a male doctor and he listens better and he believes when me I tell him something isn’t right. He found my cancer cells because he listened to me about pain. The female doctor just blew me off. I’m glad that there is male OBGYNs.
The male gynaecologist I have is probably one of the nicest humans I’ve ever encountered in a field of medicine, always listens and ensures that if needed we can have a female nurse in the room to make us comfortable. I’ve never felt weird or awkward about it, and he is very big on giving privacy when needed!
Jack's face, right at the end.... priceless! 😂😂
I love how he handled this; keeping it light with humor but still addressing the question respectfully ❤
My ogbyn is a lesbian, she’s honestly the most incredible doctor I’ve ever come across
My ob/gyn and PCP are both men. I went through about 6 pcps and about 8 or 9 on/gyns every female doc I saw dismissed my PCOS or downplayed my symptoms. Or they wanted me to get on hormonal birth control while I was actively trying to get pregnant 🙃 found the right docs and got my answers for natural solutions and now I have a 3 month old baby girl ❤️❤️
You know, I’ve never asked an OBGYN why they chose their field, but I can understand and respect the fascination with reproduction organs, they’re complex enough to be their own field of science, and there is still much to learn to fully understand genitalia that it doesn’t surprise me that there are people out there that are happy to spend their lives dedicating it to ensuring that people have healthy reproductive organs 😂
Mine is a guy and i love him. He never rushes me or makes me feel like im wasting his time hes always very informative, lighthearted, and listens.
Jack: "I like that field."🤣
The same could be said about urologist's. My urologist is a 35-40 year old female. But she's not there to stare at me because she wants to, she's there to help with any problems that I might bring her. Gender shouldn't matter in cases like this.
The fact that he answers "yes my love" ❤❤❤ ugh my heart cannot, you guys are precious
I have a male gyno ive had him since i was 15 when i walked in a clinic asking for birth control. They didn't need permission from parents and this was back in 2007 so it wasnt so easy for kids to do whatever they wanted medically without consent. Never got weird vibes from him. Hes been with me 17 years and has kept all my lady parts in nice, working order. Even after i got insurance and all through my pregnancy i kept seeing him. Around 6 months he brought a midwife in who i saw for the last few weeks and shes the one who showed up at the hospital when i delivered.. that was when i was 24. Then i went back to him. He changes my Mirena and does pap smears every 6 months.. a female nurse stands in but hes just always been my doctor. 🤷🏽♀️ Its never bothered me or my mother who obviously has met him.
We got more than what we bargained for with this reaction 😂❤
I am female and have a male gyno. He’s delivered babies , seen it all. Married with kids and honestly knows more than some females doctors I have dealt with when it’s comes to my female needs and parts :)
