As a contralto myself, I havea huge soft spot them. They don't just sing you, they speak to you because they operate in their chest voices most of the time, they're conversational with an unmatched authority that stirs up emotion the Listener with every utterance. In the clip l heard Lady Gaga , Dolly Parton and Stevie Nicks in her voice!

Great reaction! BTW, the piano player is Michael Pollack. He is the guy that co-wrote Flowers with Miley, and they created the initial piano version of the song before it was produced for the album. Edit, I forgot to mention that he was also the guy in the viral video many years back, where Billy Joel invited him on stage (when he was a student) to play New York State Of Mind.

Miley at the Grammys is a cleaned up better version of this. She also sang Faithfully at Chateau Marmont which was even better. She's in her stride years now and I'm so happy for her.
