Thank you so much for posting this video! I genuinely thought i was the only one that felt this way! please do easter next! mass consumerism makes my skin itch . i yelled when i saw the lady that bought every valentines junk she could find in the store
Water bottle trends fascinate me too! Although I am still committed to the Swell water bottle I bought 10 years ago ๐
Ever since I started watching more videos about consumption and sustainability, thereโs one thing that gets me. There are people out there who buy things for the holidays (usually home decor, things for their home) because theyโre trendy and in style, or marketed as โmust havesโ, but by the time that holiday rolls around again, none of that will be true, and theyโll never get used again because the person is buying new stuff thatโs trendy. It blows my mind that people do this- sure, my family has gone through multiple Christmas trees, but a lot of our ornaments are as old as I am. Itโs a little ridiculous when you think about it
that tree isn't overconsumption to me. if you bought a new pink tree and ornaments, that would be overconsumption. You make a Halloween, Christmas, New Years, and Valentine's tree with 1 green tree you already own to make you happy(but not buying extra stuff for themes). that's just getting use out of that tree you bought with less storage time.
This is genuinely hilarious. Can't wait for your Labor Day tree.
I love the idea of a valentines day tree. I got the Twinkly smart lights on Facebook marketplace a few years back, and let me tell you, the pink lights literally bring me so much joy. I also love your idea of making homemade ornaments. I have super old clay and I never thought of that. I think art is a great way to romanticize any season.
The new water bottle trend is the Owala! Itโs everywhere ๐ข
this is one of my favorite uploads of yours recently! made me feel so much better about valentineโs day being my favorite holiday too :))
I didn't think quality could get lower than shein, and then I found target.. I worked in their clothing department for a short time and it was awful, I didn't even want to touch the clothes, it's part of why I quit ๐
5:32 no that bow is so ugly, like maybe, MAAAAYYYBEEE if it was a real bow I could get behind it but the way its printed on just looks so bad
10:31 Half of Half! They have that in Nebraska too and every time I go back there I have to go. Just found your channel and subscribed, but had to say that ๐
I still have my Christmas tree up, my apartment is covered in plants so the tree is part of the bunch now, it meshes really well
Liked it because valentine's day is my favorite holiday too โฅ๏ธ๐ฅฐ๐๐ฎ๐ And as someone who is trying to be more sustainable in my choices, I felt guilty about my love for "a greeting card" holiday. Thank you for this video!! Sending all my adoration and genuine gratefulness for you and your content! ๐ ๐ค xoxo
Iโve definitely had Valentineโs Trees before :) itโs primarily because my mom still didnโt want to put in the effort to take the tree down until like April lol

Owala is the next water bottle, I think.
That Valentine's Day tree is adorable ๐ฅฐ I love your creativity. You briefly touched on pajamas at the beginning of your video. Genuinely do you have any recommendations on any sustainable pj brands? I don't have any clothes anytime soon to downgrade to PJs and would like to get something that is actually good quality compared to Old Navy or Walmart poor stands.
20:30 Yes, 5 year olds floss โฆ both our 6 & 3 year olds floss. Itโs not daily, but itโs often enough to understand the concept & when they eat things that get stuck in their teeth. They also donโt have the manual dexterity to use traditional floss, so the only way they can do it is with flossers.
I am a new subscriber! I loved this video! But question is that a kitchen spatula your holding lol?
