Another aspect of history that is ignored: Wagnerâs late in life change of heart. He virtually became Buddhist, pro animal rights, pro womenâs rights, and started praising mystical Judaism from Alexandria in the second century CE. The eventual plan was to compose some Buddhist operas about a mystic sage, and eventually Jesus with Alexandrian style Jewish communities spreading wisdom and prophecy through the land. A bit strange, but thatâs the story. Neo Nazis would have you believe Wagner remained hateful to the end, but that isnât true.

I just want to set the historical record. The nazis generally didnât enjoy Wagnerâs music. Mozart and Verdi saw the highest numbers of productions before, during, and after their regime. Second, as far as popular music, German radios would change the names of artists and tracks on records to avoid censorship. Unsurprisingly, American music was extremely popular in Nazi Germany. I would ignore all the praise neo-Nazis give to Wagner, because if you asked about anything in detail, of course they wouldnât know.
