@MrHulthen

"Supercool."
Me, circa 2025.
Also, after benchmarking I ended up at 93 fps on average at 1440p, while 1080p resulted in 96 on average. No ray-tracing.

Looks like Wilds will be heavily CPU dependent just like World & Dragon's Dogma 2 (not really a surprise there). However, I had hoped my build would squeeze out atleast a stable 120 at 1080p but hey, it is what it is.

@azuredragoon1140

700? Gotta pump those numbers up those are rookie numbers in this racket.

@shimik11

Arkveld is not overtuned, he's a HR4 monster and we're fighting him in starter gear

He can't keep limping away with it!

@corey2232

Requiring frame gen + upscaling to just get 60 fps at 1080p on midrange PCs is absolutely insane...

The game doesn't look nearly good enough to justify that. You say it's visually beautiful, but it doesn't look nearly as good as other games that require much less crazy hardware.

The 4090 is better than every GPU aside from the 5090, still costs well over $2,000 and the fact you have to play this at 1440p to get 70 fps is absurd!

Frame gen is meant to help push up frame rates on high refresh rate monitors, not help you get from a low frame rate up to 60 fps. That introduces more latency when the base frame rate is that low & feels unresponsive.

@lavaeater5

2 things to bear in mind regarding the games performance issues:
1.) The game has the exact same issues as Dragons Dogma 2 in regards to high CPU load. That means that changing the graphics settings will NOT fix many of the performance issues people will have with this game. Only later performance optimizations released post launch or purchasing a more powerful CPU will "fix" it.
2.) Frame Gen is NOT a real FPS boost. It uses AI to make fake frames and slides them in between the real rendered frames to fake higher frame rates. That means your game inputs will STILL BE INPUT BASED OFF THE REAL FPS NOT THE FAKE ONE. That means really bad input lag that literally scales inversely with the amount of "frames" you gain.

@quintyss1290

Not being able to play it on a low-end PC is kind of a big detriment for me, lol.

@J-Vill

300hrs+ on MHW and MHR and just like you said MHWilds will be my GOTY, next to FF7 Rebirth. Wilds definitely feels like a step up from World, more fun mechanics and animations, better story telling and likeable NPCs, monsters and environment feel more natural and alive. This will be my first MH to play on launch so I also hope they optimize the game by release, my 3080 holding strong. Also hoping we get more then one major DLC like Iceborne and Sunbreak

@xXimakidXx

nergigante is one of my favorite enemies in video games. i'll miss fighting the boi

@Hexenkind1

Didn't know you were a fan.
Might will give this one a shot at some point.

@Maite-AileenBrandt

Played it at 15 fps on the Steam Deck yesterday … and I was still playing because of enjoying it. 😭

Why am I like this? 💀

@Bronwyn031

When World came out, I had a 2080Ti/i9-9900K and I could not get anywhere near a locked 60fps at 4K without dropping sliders way down.
Capcom always releases their games for future hardware.
I don't expect Wilds to be any different and I'm glad considering I plan on playing it for YEARS to come.

@Raspotnik

I cant wait for the release. I played both betas now. And its just so good. I recently played through world again and almost cleared Iceborn as well. Wilds is gonna be game of the year for me. I am almost certain of it.

@xgfnl

Charge blade SAED is different from world, you have to do AED first then transition to SAED

@GuiltySiNz

Rookie numbers, I got 1200 in PlayStation alone , pc 680 and Xbox 570. Get your numbers up lol at 45 with a full time job😮 look forward to your content of wilds

@a45675

they always over tune the flag ship in the beta for Monster Hunter games, the flagships are never as hard in the full game as they are in the beta also you should try the benchmark if you haven't already

@benbledsoe3801

I believe the devs have stated that a number of performance improvements that will be in the launch version were NOT implemented in this beta because beta 2 is the same build as beta 1.

@xeroeddie

"Being on the same level as the monsters" can be a big con for me personally, depending on how it plays. This was one of things I didn't like in Rise. The wyvern riding being one example, where you're in total control campared to World where the monster is in control. You're just barely hanging on. I loved how World made you feel small and insignificant compared to the monsters.

@xzrtrain7181

Mr hulthen, please ignore ppls comments about 700 being rookie hours. Mh is meant to be played and ended when you want it to be. The game is also as long as you want it to be as well. Welcome to mh and may the sapphire star guide your way.
