@suyashkulkarni8071

Basically they made this lens so that Fro can teach the pronunciation ❤

@rfezzie

Glad to see this is a winner. Really want to try my hand at some portraiture at that 85mm length but don't wanna shell out too much. Also as a Nikon user, great to see that more full-frame third party options are coming to the system.

@RussandLoz

As a Nikon user I'm very happy to see some Professional line 1.4's coming through, it really is the sweet spot

@paweadamik8828

11:30 color. The reds in the background are stunning.

@dougd2723

You had me at "15 blades". I am most impressed by this lens for it's speed, weight and results. A homerun first time at bat for Sirui.

@pitushing93

10:57 Did you say horizontal? It's horizontical, Jared! 😂

@2222paulr

So happy to see you going back to the “basic” non professional gear! Thanks fro team!

@mjr333

The subject looks better in B&W, but the background looks better in colour. They both work well, but colour is better for me.

@Chillandlaugh

I have the Meike 85 1.4 for the same price and I’m very happy with it. All I use it for is portraits for any clients, and portraits in the sports world. If Nikon ever makes a z 85 1.4 I wouldn’t even waste my time or money when I can get a Meike or Suri for a much cheaper price.

@asterisk606

More serious competition in the lens market is always a good thing. It seems like a great value at that price for what it offers.

@Neopulse00

5:50 - The lenses that I had a nightmare with how soft the aperture ring was were the Zeiss Touit lenses.

@Towervisualz

I actually just saw this lens on Amazon when i was looking for an inexpensive 85mm. This video is just what i needed to watch!

@richbottarini86

This video begs the question, which is better the old Sony 85 1.8 or the newer Sirui 1.4. Jared states he is not much of a fan of a couple of features on the newer lens. There is a $100 price difference is native glass worth it

@chrisguli2865

Nice review Jared! It would be interesting to see how this lens performs against the Nikon 85/1.2 Z, just for the hell of it.

@ryanjmauchmar

So happy "doinking" is still being used! Love SIRUI products. Great products w/o breaking the bank!

@johnniebejarano145

I bought this lens for my granddaughter last week. I liked it so much I bought one for myself. I love this lens (Nikon Z mount). Great value! Thank you for your unbiased clear review and opinions.

@Tony-tr3di

Glad to see the promotion tag. Hats off❤

@DanielWinterAt

I guess this wasn't part of the video because it's a sponsored one, but I'd love to see a RAW File comparison to the Nikon Z 1.8 and 1.2 and possibly the older AF-S 1.4, since mine has quite some achromatic dispersion

@Cloud_Effect

10/10 Content Bro!

@xavidub

If I didn't already have the Nikon 85 1.8, which is a terrific lens, I'd definitely be tempted by the brighter aperture. There must be a cold Viltrox/Sirui shaped wind blowing through Nikon/Canon/Sony/Fuji headquarters right now
