I think you could have used scenes from the movie "Lisbela e o Prisioneiro" instead. It's another great Brazilian movie, and I think it would have been a better fit for the lyrics of the song. The movie is a romantic comedy set in the 1930s in the northeastern state of Pernambuco. It tells the story of Lisbela, a young woman who dreams of escaping her small town and finding adventure, and Leléu, a charming rogue who arrives in town and sweeps her off her feet. The movie is full of beautiful music and stunning visuals, and it perfectly captures the spirit of Jorge Ben's music. But I am happy to see how much Jorge Ben is loved and respected outside of Brazil. He is a true Brazilian icon, and his music is a national treasure. I am glad that his music is being enjoyed by people all over the world. A big hug from the north of Brazil!

I only discovered Jorge Ben Jor around 3 years ago, and his music has become essential for me. This song , I adore! Something quite simple and raw about it (no technological wizardry I guess), just very beautiful. Like you, I imagine videos to go with some of his songs - Oba La Vem Ela, Domingas, and Menina Mulher De Pela Prata. Love what you did here; though I'm not going to watch Ichi, but have seen City of God a few years back. Many scenes of which replay in the mind. Is it right that the actors didn't even get much for that film? Well done on this video! 💛
