@JoelKlattShow

Who is your early prediction for next season's top team?

@Ohio_Tan_Rebel_Man_1144

Texas vs Ohio State week 1 in the shoe, I can’t wait!
GO BUCKS!! ☝️

@Pietothesky

Texas vs Ohio State was the best matchup of the playoff bracket. I think Texas is more established early in 2025, it might give them the edge in Columbus.

@TxLonghornsFan

Texas has recruited well on its O-Line. We have some talented guys ready to step up and replace the 4 offensive lineman we lost to the NFL draft.

The early belief is that Trevor Goosby plays LT, Neto Umeozulu at LG, Cole Hutson at C, DJ Campbell continues to play RG and 5 Star Brandon Baker at RT.

But we have plenty of guys behind them that will be pushing these guys for the starting role in the Spring and we could still bring in some added O-line depth through the transfer portal as well so I think we’ll be fine.

@ArrowandString

I know Penn State is loaded but until they get better at the wide receiver position I can't see them getting over the top. They need to be able to consistently drive the ball down the field in the passing game. They seem to always play great defense and run the ball well but where is the elite receiver group.

@bernardmayles6564

As an OSU fan I'm not sure how great we'll be because of all the players we lose

@greenman5255

Allar and Franklin are points for PSU NOT being at #1, not FOR being at #1. Also, losing the best coach on their staff is a major hit. Anyways, it is "way too early".

@anthonywadlington1173

Penn State has to prove to me they can beat a top five team

@md-8866

Penn state may have experience but they are not bringing back 5 star after 5 star like ohio state did. Allar is 3 steps below McCarthy and 5 below Howard. Could I see them knocking off an oregon or OSU in the regular season? Sure. Do I see them winning 3-4 straight in the playoff if they don't get another cupcake draw? No.

@giveittomikey9094

The big problem with PSU is not matter who comes back or what they have coming they still have Franklin as head coach and he’s never beat a top 5 team

@JWoogie66

I actually think the o line will be better next season but not sure how the rest of the team will be.

@XRedcomet

I understand Joel’s logic completely, but he’s forgetting that this is Penn State we’re talking about 😆

@burntorangehorn

Joel, CJ Baxter may or may not play in 2025, but even if he does, it likely won't be at an elite level. Ligament tear recovery timelines are getting better and better, but there's still a big difference between being cleared to play and being ready to star.

@OSUBUCKEYE1

My respect for Klatt just went out the window with him putting Penn State at #1. 😂

@jeffreysmith5968

Bold to predict that Penn State becomes the Natty Lions. Not hating. I'd love to see it for Franklin, and I will be calling every team they beat along the way "not a big game"... we've all made that bed, and we'll have to lay in it.

@spongeblawb8022

I get the idea of having experience return. The problem is that some of that experience is Allar who I think PSU won a lot of games in spite of, not because of him. Also Allen leaving is probably going to hurt.

@512.Outdoors

He’s got such a weird obsession with Caleb downs😂 he is not by any means head and shoulders above other players like Anthony hill

@stonecoldsteverharvey7862

Penn state was not knocking on the door of a national championship.. they were knocking on the door if a national championship appearance… huge difference

@ronmexico421

as long as james franklin is coaching psu will never beat a top 5 team

@Zachgotgainz

Penn st in a 4 team playoff could win the natty like Michigan did but in a 12 team playoff it’s way harder to win natty but way easy to stay relevant by making the playoffs
