This is why drink champs exist. To give legends like this man his flowers.
I'm 47 yrs old I will never forget when the formula came on and my ear has never been right since thanks D.O.C for all you gave us and still to give us sir π
When NORE is sober and asking poignant questions. And listening and pausing at the right times. Hits different.
Not going to Lie BUT seeing The D.O.C receive this flowers has made me Happier than ALL the other numerous guests, I have seen on Drink Champs over the years! His story is pivotal regarding my own interest in Hip-hop & just witnessing his expression to me was priceless!
"No one can do it better" is one of the best hip hop albums of all time! ..... Timeless classic
Dre is the Engineer... and I'm the Drum... It's the Diggy, Diggy, Doc Y'all...ππΎ My Favorite artist...
If anyone deserves their masters and publishing , its the DOC.
D.o.c. been around for the best era of hip hop 3x....ruthless records, death row records, aftermath records! Damn!
Met the DOC in 2012, and i must say, not only was i star struck, i was truly enamored with his humble down to earth demeanor. Such a truly respectful person.
The D.O.C.!!! No One Can Do It Better was one of the CD's that every song was a banger! Especially The Grand Finale. β€β€β€π―π―π―
I'm 53 years young. And 8 drink champ fan!!! The D.O.C. was everything to me as a young girl in Detroit!!!! You made me feel like I can so anything with my favorite Rap song of all time "Funky Enough"!!! You look good Bro!!!!!!
You were talking about a 50 yo white guy from Louisiana or something, well, I'm a 50 yo white guy from Europe that heard the name DOC before I even knew the face or the music, when I got into hiphop in 1991 due to the props DOC got. After that, heard his music, learned about his influence and understood he was of major importance. I also got his Helter Skelter album later on. To now see him and listen to him on your podcast is seriously dope! Thank you and thank you D.O.C. for everything!
I'll never forget 1989 and begging my mom to take me to the mall to get the D.O.C cassette. I'm proud to see him grown and doing his thing. Thank you, DOC! Can't wait for the documentary
The Smokey Robinson of hiphop. One of the best writers in hiphop period.
D.O.C and Rakim are the only two I know who said the illest verses without curses.
I seen NWA at the Saginaw Civic Center in 87β and D.O.C. OPENED for NWA, Too Short, & J J Fade and I went back and told my friends be on the look out for D.O.C.
It would be fly if D.O.C could use AI to his orginal voice and just drop albums. This man is a legend and has written so much and done so much. This is Drink Champs biggest moment bringing this man here and hearing his story. What a true legend and humble. ππΎ
In an alternate universe, The D.O.C is the undisputed goat π
I love how D.O.C calls easy by his government name Eric. that shows the love and respect he had for that man πͺπΌπ―π―π―
