There is a lot of misinformation with PGR in this video 1. PGR weapon banner always live and don't rotate, you can get any weapon rate up for any character at any time 2. PGR rank mode doesn't not tied to your gacha currency, whales and f2p will get the same amount regardless their rank and result in leaderboard, it is tied to participation 3. Realistically PGR the cheaper game, because Kuro mostly put free cons after premium cons, there some exception like back to back premium cons but as long you smart you can get everyone even at pity, HI3 and AG doesn't even have a ranks anymore for players save 4. I won't put trailblazer as the best PGR boss in global, Lilith far more complex and interesting 5. Characters kits in AG it looks complex at first but they have to make it up for the lack of character switching like in Hi3 and PGR, there is no team rotation, therefore each match feel the same
bro i've been playing pgr for almost 4years now... there are so many misinfo xD
in PGR u don't need complete team to do weeklies tho, u just need to participate doesn't matter what score is...the leaderboards doesn't give gacha currencies but different currency for buying some mats...and the difference is not that much... For bosses i don't think trailblazer has really that much gimmick, it's just a jojo punch that can kill u even with i frames...there are more interesting ones like a boss that can parry u back, mess with ur UI, or grab you mid animation lol Aether gazer has more depth on kit but that because u only play one character and can't switch PGR S ranks are easy to obtain, with A ranks in between S rank patches, you'll guarantee the debut char no matter what, given u do weeklies and events ofc... so u can basically be a collector here despite being f2p, there's no FOMO tho result is not bad, aether gazer really do deserves more recognition
I have to disagree on that last point Aether gazer functor banner is always up? PGRs weapon and Cub banner is also always up and you can pull on them anytime PGR doesnt have any game mode that requires meta units to get rewards Both pain cage and warzone give currency simply by participating So exactly what puts aether gazer over PGR here?
Crimson Weave isn't the most complex character in the game though, we have Lucia: Pyroath, Wanshi: Lucid Dreamer, Luna: Oblivion and Ishmael: Parhelion (though she isn't even out on CN yet) CW is actually more on the simpler side when it comes to Gen 2 Characters. As for the CW kit explanation, there's honestly a better explanation for it. Crimson Weave's kit is pretty large despite being very simple. Pressing Dodge + Spamming Attack will active sword wave mode, she'll unleash sword waves that will count as basic attack damage, she builds up stacks when using any skill except for unquenchable flare, stacks are limited to 300 at S Rank and upgraded to 600 at SS, her core passive is her dash attack, as you hold dodge, she enters a parry stance and builds up the sword gauge, after releasing she performs a dash towards the enemy and gains i-frames during the animation, while charging up, if you're being attacked you get damage reduction and super armor, also holding the dodge at the right time before an enemy attack can initiate a built in perfect parry which also triggers matrix if it's not on cooldown you also take no damage from it. After using signature in kodachi mode, you're In odachi mode, her kit remains the same except for her orbs and has added another attack in the basic attack button, after using the charge attack from earlier the numbers on the gauge turn from white to red indicating that you can hold the attack button to leap into the air and plunge into the ground to deal massive damage, the damage scales on how big the number is on top of the gauge, even if her kit remains the same, the overall damage of everything also increases, note that you can only use the plunge attack AFTER using her core passive, the plunge attack gives i-frames for the entirety of the animation as well, and then after that use the signature to end the rotation. Now for her Leap Skills: They added a new feature to her plunge attack and that's when you hold her attack button for a longer time, the orbs change into special ones, the amount of orbs corresponds to how many orbs you have in your queue, tapping the attack button continuously in this mode will consume those orbs and alpha will attack midair to deal extra dark-attribute damage before plunging down again.
PGR honestly.. Story is ehh, gameplay absolutely banger despite being 10gb+++ mobile games.. Ost? Oh mama mia.. Sure the other 2 games has at least one of them or more.. But what makes pgr so special to me.. Is the Dev.. The dev that actually LISTEN to their fans 😭😭😭
The edits just keep getting better. Great work.(don't skip the intro) edit- cant wait for the third watcher model.
Despite AG's flexibility in the weapon/functor banner, which is pretty rare in gacha games, I think PGR should still win the gacha category on account of needing less pulls to guarantee a character. Weapons are ultimately for power gaming and can be ignored by those who do not wish to rank like in both PGR and AG. But honkai is definitely the most predatory gacha among these because of rewards being tied to ranks and faster powercreep cycle in the meta.
if you like Story Honkai Gameplay PGR Thick waifus Aether gazer
i played pgr . lvl up in pgr is so easy coz theres a system called mentor so this system is like this every weeks you have a mission do that you get account exp . they even remove the stamina requirement atleast in the story . the story chapter 1 to 9 is slow i almost forget there a skip button & there a site where you can read the summarize version
11:39 its the same narrative told from a diffrent perspective. Its also really easy to level up your commandat level if you engage with the games mechanics a little (guide system). You also dont need any meta units to clear the story or ppc and war zone, only if you want to rank high in the leaderboards but everyone gets the same rewards. Even if you just enter a stage and get killed it will still count as participation (for war zone and ppc) and if you fail in the story its really just a skill issue. in the later chapters its also impossible to die. Cubs and 6 star weapons are also not needed for the characters most of the time
Great video, I like when you showcase each game on their current patch.
bait used to be believeable, the glaze to other game compared to a whole lot of missinformation for pgr is crazy
i was waiting for music section because of you post on reddit ...bit a letdown . Other wise good editing....really enjoyed..that you pointed the biggest selling point of honkai impact that no one points out ...damm those musical cutscenes are the best payoff ....kinda make you realize that no game in history has that. maybe will try ather gazer someday but dont really like that my other team members are on auto...too much clutter. Right now i am playing pgr after finishing honkai impact part 1 and from my experience the hit feedback is the best in pgr.
imma still enjoy my Free S Rank selector + Another S Rank Selector + 6 Star Weapon Selector + Standard Banner S Rank Choice + Free Selena Capriccio Shards (Enough to unlock her for free) + Free Ayla Kaleido Shards (Enough to unlock her for free) + Free Alisa Echo Shards (Enough to Unlock her for Free) and other future free S Ranks we will get that are meta relevant.
Overall good, fair points, but lots of disinformation about PGR which ate highlited in @Briliantless comment section. Also, PGR story doesn't always keep like that, if no for all almost of the story fights after nona ouroboros are played with trial characters
Uwwwoooggghhhh~ big match from the three peak hack & slash games Imagine.. raiden mei (HOO), alpha (CW), tsukuyomi (shinri) in one stage :face-blue-smiling:
When scoring the combat gameplay, imo the priority for a satisfying combat (or gameplay in general) should be like this (1)Interaction > (2)Movement/Positioning > (3)Rhythm > (4)Animation > (5)Skill mechanics. Skill mechanics or character's kit isn't that important and nothing more than just extra decorations to make things look fresh and different. This might be controversal to say rhythm is better than animation but yes it is, once you sync with the rhythm and "enter the zone", beautiful animations no longer matter, your satisfaction reach a new level beyond what animations can offer you. Good examples for this are Bullet per Minute (BPM) and Mad Rat Dead. For a lot of games Movement/Positioning is the main priority (Super Mario, Sonic,...) but for combat games the Interaction part is most important, the more interactive and engaging the better. To score the interaction, we count the options (attack, dodge, block, parry, clash, counter, bind,...), how frequent those options being used by us, and against us by enemies. For Movement/Positioning, we score on its involvements with the terrain and the options for positioning (dash, run, jump, climb, fly, grapple hook, blink/teleport,...).
The edits were really good and you had a true natural stance on all of the games. Really great video, and it deserves way more views.
