@sal-the-man

Not even the Onion could make this up

@Theflamingcadre

“And they were destroyed for their idolatry. Because they worshiped the golden calf rather then God”

@curvingfyre6810

The literal golden idol in the center of the judeo-christian holy land is... Certainly something

@brada562

The best thing the Onion could do is report on the Trump Gaza video 100% straight. No extra jokes or exaggerations. Then have a community note at the end pointing out the story is not, in fact, fictional satire, as all other Onion stories are.

@RyuKyu.77

Isn't it funny that the guy Christians love is engaging in self worship and lust

@keanudarkly9497

I’m not a Christian and I still find that video incredibly demonic

@Kuchhh

God: “thou shall not worship false idols”

MAGA cultists:

@tannernipper3756

I think this is one of the most depraved things I’ve ever seen in my life

@RashidMBey

Evangelicals endorsing a power-hungry executive power who calls himself king and seeks an ethnic purge to install a golden idol of himself 💀

@f1nger605

The reason conservatives love "AI" art is because conservatism, at a fundamental level, is an expression of anti-creativity (with fascism being its ultimate expression.)

In order to be creative, you have to be able to entertain new ideas and think critically about old ones. This runs directly counter to conservative values, where old ideas are pure and new ideas are degenerate. While it is possible for someone to be conservative and creative, it is a form of cognitive dissonance. In general, artists and creative people tend to be progressive.

Additionally, conservative messaging relies almost entirely on building narratives, which creates a conundrum. Conservatives need creatives to sell conservatism while at the same time loathing creativity. AI, has provided a way to square that circle.

Incapable of generating new ideas (only appropriating old ones), "AI" therefore becomes the ideal tool for the anti-creative mind. They can appropriate the work of creatives without having to actually cooperate with them (or more importantly, paying them) and the system inherently stimulates nostalgia because it can only mix up things it's scraped from things they've seen before. It is the perfect tool for selling and amplifying conservative thought.

@lendon_dev

Trump is unironically presenting himself as an 80s movie villain, a real estate tycoon that is planning to bulldoze the community center/neighborhood to build a golf course, and the people who grew up watching those movies are his supporters.

@MysteryFaceX

"Musk is a terrible influence on you, Trump sir." Trump is an 80-year-old man, and his supporters are treating him like a coddled messianic child. How are they this stupid?

@natacee566

Conservatives can forgive literally any atrocity, except cringe.

@lowfeelsblvd-e3x

we are in hell

@lich109

Let's not kink shame Trump for the trans dancers, I'm sure Joe Rogan can direct him to some good websites.

@julievanzile2482

I didn't know the golden calf was so literal.

@grady7420

Forget the Onion, Black Mirror couldn't make a story this creepy and sociopathic.

@hamarabhai78

Why is this the most cringe dystopia

@juans213

South Park writers must step up their game.

@Nthsey

10:50 “What about Obama? Obama could run again. Well…”

He found the biggest problem with his plan, got stumped, and went back to his shitty script. Obama would blow Trump OUT OF THE WATER if they ran against each other in 2028, no questions.
