Dodger is probably the perfect example of a horse that would have found itself going from sale to sale because no one wanted to take the time needed to work him through whatever his issues were. Thank you Shea for being the wonderful person and trainer that you are.
Speaking as someone who has run multiple riding schools, it's a huge credit to you as a trainer that you are able to source school horses from auctions.
So glad to see that Dodger is finding peace and happiness and trust at last! ❤
Dodger is an amazing example of how an animal like him would have been in a very bad spot if he wasn't with the right person and wasn't in the right environment. Dodger needed a person like you, he needed to be at Free Spirit, and it shows because not only does he look even more beautiful, he looks more at peace! Thank you for showing us Dodger's progress and giving him the kindness, consistency, and patience he needed.
He looks very happy to be included in the group lessons. I'm glad you were able to help him get over his anxiety.
Dodger seems like the kind of horse that students will learn a lot from, and that is pretty special. Sometimes its the more sensitive, unique or quirky ones that teach us the most <3
And this is a perfect example of why you always tell the people watching your videos that you’re extremely picky on buying a horse from an auction because she never know what you’re gonna get. You are totally experienced in purchasing and you still a beautiful animal, but he has a few issues that you’re able to work with, but this is what you’ve been explaining to all of us.
Dodger looks so great and healthy (physically and emotionally). He seemed just a bit worn when he first came to FSE. What a very nice transformation. He seems happy:)!
Dodger landed right where he needed to be….Great Job🍀🇺🇸
Poor baby, 1400 pounds scared or terrified is not a good thing. Dodger is so lucky that he went to you. The possibility that anyone else might not have had the time or ability to help him work it out was a real possibility. He might have ended up being sold over and over or even sadly ended up in the slaughter pipeline. Thank you for giving him the help he needed.
Dodgers mane and tail...stunning
Dodger is a beautiful horse and you can see that he’s really trying to please. He just needs some time, but he is doing great with your patient guidance. Just a lovely horse. ❤
I'm crying tears of joy! I've been a Dodger fan from Day One. I was beside myself at his auction. I've been anxiously following his journey and progress...seeing him now is an absolute testimony to your horsemanship and clear eye for gifted horses. When you said, "Horses are emotional animals," I thought, every domestic animal needs that bond, and horses have been with people for over five and a half thousand years. That's longer than cats--and, as a 'cat person,' I know how much cats love and need us! Horses adore people who understand them. I'm so glad that you're sharing these beautiful experiences.
that is so heartwarming! Dodger deserves to become whole - and wow did he luck out on this home! Thank you for your gentle, patient and loving heart. How inspirational!
Dodger is so special. Thank you for your efforts to support him. He’s a beauty.
Omg! I can't believe how far Dodger has come! You're truly a horse whisperer Shae ❤
As a non-horse person, i found this very interesting. Thanks for showing us the show training as well as Dodger's progress.
There was no doubt in my mind that you could get Dodger to this point. He needed your kind spirit, consistency, patience, and perseverance to work through it all. He looks like a different horse!❤
It was heart warming to watch Shae and her FSE community of assistants and students help Doger become better and better with each lesson. I teared up many times.
