@brodaciousbro1149

Can you believe people hated Gabi so much, that they sent death threats to her VA? 💀 like bro her VA ain't do shit but voice a character

@IAmNumber4000

I don’t have strong feelings about whether Gabi is a good or bad character, but I will say that the scene where Sasha’s dad forgives her made me cry

@IKYIPLMAO

Bro gabby would be an average person in the us

@supervideomaker9136

My biggest problem with Gabi is that she basically has aim bot on. The amount of BS shots she got(as a 12 year old girl mind you) is actually insane.

@ollyjhb3872

The foreshadowing of the next video is gold 😂

@goodhunter8347

Gabi can beat you in any Call of Duty on a 1v1 sniper only

@belugalalala

Gabi will never be Eren’s counterpart. Eren was not indoctrinated, all of his views he built upon himself even if it made him an outcast as a child, by going against the “social rules” of staying inside the walls living like cattle, seeing the horror of the scouts coming back in pieces. Even when the rest of the town, who were the “worst” of humanity in Paradis so they were forced to live in a titan trap of the outer wall) didnt even support them; he was the outcast of the outcast, he went against the current following his own ideals of right and wrong in pursuit of freedom, even after failing time and time again. Gabi didn‘t do any thinking for herself, just obeyed and followed the social norms with the support of her family, even if she was “lesser” of a human because she was an Eldian, Gabi was part of a community that supported her and was never treated as a tool for rising up the social ladder by her parents (who both survived, may I add), and she never fails anything, making her unrelatable. Seeing the “mirroring” scene of the hair tying saying tatakae, honestly made me cringe. Falco would have been a better “counterpart” because you can see him as a flawed human from the start, like a real kid. Gabi never even missed a shot, I see Falco doing it and it feeling more human.

@Kageryushin

Gabi being annoying and unlikeable isn't the same as her being a bad or unnecessary character.

@johndinner4418

I like the format, but I disagree. Gabi is needed. Reiner is a character explanation of why he did what he did, while Gabi is a conduit of the message. Reiner can't be the message because by the time he realized his mistake it was already way too late. And even if it was, focusing on that in particular also serves the purpose to make sure the message is perceived right, because people still didn't and don't understand it with Eren. Gabi makes it clear what the intention was.

Sure you can like Eren, everyone should, he's not meant for you to necessarily hate him (if anything he was almost written to be dislikeable from the very start with constant yelling). Supporting him and liking/hating his character are 2 very different things.

@martink8021

Dudes like: i fucking love attack on titan. Hates every character in it.

@amansavant707

Reiners story was one which wasn't showed directly at all and pretty much showed him as a scared character being put in the lead. Gabi plays the role of showing what an average marelean would be like in this situation and also shows the process of learning the truth of the other side and becoming equal. This is the biggest idea attack on Titan constantly tries to put forward about learning perspective and how to become equal when faced against a greater threat. Falco is a good character butcontradicts this narrative of differences a lot and acts like everyone is equal before anything happend for him to act like that. He's smart but ultimately is a hole in the story of the process of understanding each other.

@nikolaivanov8007

1:04 Yes, that's the point. This is a representation of one of the main tropes in the story, that as long as there are people there will be violence, that all of humanity's history is just a repeating cycle of war and hate.

@Kindasortamaybe

I don't hate Gabi. She killed my favorite character but I feel like she represents something important.

@albinoskinwalker

or, here me out, what if sasha just... doesn't die.

@harryweaver4914

Gabi is the hope for the new generation - born into the conflict between Marley and Paradis and killing for her supposed side, but when in Paradis, she meets the family of the woman she killed, and her preconceptions of the "Island Devils" is broken again and again. Even the friends of the woman she killed rush to defend her because at the end of the day, she is just a child, and ought to be allowed to live free from the conflicts of past generations. Essentially, if she mirrors Eren in season 1, she symbolises Eren's friends stopping another child from going down the same path as him, and in the end Gabi gets to live a peaceful life with Falco, just as Mikasa and Eren could have done if things were different.

@azenar1

Nah the confrontation of Niccolo and the Braus family and Gabi in the restaurant alone is worth having Gabi in the show. Also i dont like how you want everyone to hate Falco in your rewrite

@sethheristal9561

The fact that Eren killed humanity but people still like him, and Gabi only killed relatively few and because indoctrinated but people still dislike her, teaches the educated audience an important lesson. It joins with the general theme of AOT: "Is there, truly, an alternative to violence? ... what if actually there is not? "

@bijuutamer729

This is a weird video because you’d essentially be rewriting Falco at his core. And it’s even weirder you acknowledge the dynamic that Gabi and Falco need to function for the story.

Plus from the start we’re told that Gabi shows initiate and has been working much harder than all her peers to get as skilled as she is.
Aimbot Gabi is comical but it makes perfect sense for a character who takes initiative and who has extensive training to be skilled with a gun. It makes the Alliance as a whole well rounded to have an expert marksman (Gabi) and have Falco be the Jaw Titan. You can’t have one person be both because basic story writing is that instead of making one character with all the skills you allocate them between several characters to give them purpose.

It’s even weirder to criticize Gabi having a complete character arc. A character can be actualized and still have a role in the story. Which is why killing off Gabi early is weirder because the whole point of Gabi’s character was her character arc in contrast to Eren who we wouldn’t be able to see completed if she well, died.

@kaico5265

Honestly you make good points, but I really enjoyed the character a lot. And I know people despise her and the point of her being a similar character to Eren, but the fact that she isn’t liked means that she is a different person than Eren, although similar I don’t believe she needs to be the same

@Rylan_Korpi

Would you do a rant on how Keith Shadis and Theo Magath death's were so avoidable. They literally surveyed the port, making note of everything, and somehow missed the giant fucking ship. All they need is to shoot a few thunderspears into the hull, or have Annie or Reiner kick it once to just damage it, and it's no threat.
